Of the three islands making up the Caribbean Netherlands, Bonaire is the real draw — a diver's island where the entire coastline is protected marine park, and pristine reefs start just steps from the shore, making it one of the best shore-diving destinations anywhere. Sint Eustatius and Saba see far fewer visitors but reward the effort: Saba's steep volcanic peak and tiny villages feel almost alpine, while Statia's quiet ruins and dive sites draw a small, dedicated following.
