Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe is shaped like a butterfly, its two main wings offering strikingly different landscapes: Basse-Terre's rainforest-covered volcano, La Soufrière, with waterfalls and hiking trails, and Grande-Terre's white-sand beaches and turquoise lagoons. Creole culture runs through the islands' music, food, and festivals, blending French, African, and Caribbean influences. Fishing villages, sugarcane fields, and rum distilleries fill the space between the beaches and the mountains. It's a Caribbean island with genuine variety packed into a compact area.
