Gabon

Gabon is covered almost entirely by untouched equatorial rainforest, protected across a network of national parks that cover a striking share of the country. Loango National Park is the standout, where forest elephants, hippos, and gorillas turn up on the same beaches where the jungle meets the Atlantic. Tourism infrastructure remains limited and costly, but for wildlife-focused travelers willing to invest in it, the access to untouched rainforest and coastline is exceptional.
